Ben Amigoni

Based in Dursley, Gloucestershire, with over twenty years’ experience in the industry, Ben provides personal training in the comfort of the client’s home, as well as sports massage therapy in his dedicated treatment room. With a background in martial arts, Ben has competed both nationally and internationally, achieving national and European titles in taekwondo. More recently, Ben’s focus has turned to endurance running and duathlon. His own experiences in training and competing at a high level have helped him to support and guide many clients towards achieving their own sporting and fitness goals. Ben has experience of working with a wide variety of clients, ranging from those recovering and rehabilitating from illness or surgery, to those pursuing sports-specific goals. He has extensive experience in sports coaching and rehabilitation and has provided support for athletes competing in a range of events, including triathlon, ultra-running, cycling and endurance swimming. Whoever the client, Ben provides a tailored, personalised approach, focused on the individual’s abilities, needs and goals.

      Sports massage therapy is designed to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma. It is subsequently a fundamental part of maintaining optimum health, mobility, flexibility and a sense of wellbeing. The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise or physical activity, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury. It can help to address existing injuries, as well as everyday aches and pains.
      Ben offers clients one-hour sports massage therapy sessions in his dedicated treatment room, beginning with a full postural assessment and client questionnaire. Following this, Ben tailors the treatment to meet the specific needs of the individual, ensuring that each part of the process is fully explained to the client. Post treatment, Ben will prescribe specific exercises to further help aid recovery.

      Personal training offers clients a personalised approach to exercise and fitness, in a one-to-one, or small group environment. It is suitable for all abilities, from those who have never exercised, to those with a high level of fitness, to athletes pursuing specific fitness goals.

      Ben is fully qualified and ensured, holding qualifications in personal training, nutritional advice, core stability and interactive instruction.

    • Classes

      Exercise classes cater for all abilities, ranging from those with no previous experience, to regular exercisers. Ben’s classes involve a mixture of circuits-based exercises, martial arts techniques and HIIT (high intensity interval training). Don’t be put off if you have no previous experience, as Ben will demonstrate all techniques and guide you to mastering these, in a motivational and fun environment.
      Classes are held both in person and online, and are delivered in six-week blocks.
